I am reading a book by Sally Coulthard on BIOPHILIA, where one uses as often as possible products that are NATURAL like WOOD used in the 2×6 struts you see here.

Also she says that we should use products like the Southern Yellow Pine these Raptor Domes™ struts are made of that grows right where I live! I am also going to be experimenting with BAMBOO struts from a bamboo farm right in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, which is also in the geographic area I live in. Bamboo is what one architect is calling “the new GREEN steel of the 21st century! Of course, the Far East has been using bamboo for construction for centuries.
