I learned this in a very informative book The Invincible Company.

Business R &D basically uses the Scientific Method that probably you learned in high school. It says that you create a HYPOTHESIS and then set out to either prove as correct or or disprove it.

It is a mathematical FACT that the DODECAHEDRON is the STRONGEST geometric shape on Planet Earth even stronger than the other shapes.

So if it is the STRONGEST, then could we not make a hypothesis that says that if we use the DODECAHEDRON shape in construction of our superstructure like you see below that we have a superstructure STRONGER than one that is a SQUARE or RECTANGLE?

So that is exactly what students at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology proved almost 100 YEARS ago! They proved that Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic dome not using the DODECAHEDRON shape was not as strong as the one using the DODECAHEDRON shape!

That is why I chose the DODECAHEDRON shape for my Raptor Domes Kits™.

However unfortunately the majority of building code personnel including mine in Macon County NC have not most likely studied geometry using DODECAHEDRON shapes! They told me that they would only approve it as a structure for NON-HOUSING purposes!
