Raptor Domes™ & Creativity Part 22
Donald talks about the importance of METAPHORS in CREATIVITY.
He says that metaphors can be found in nature like when Dr. Mestral, the inventor of Velcro®, used a burr that he found on his dog and himself to learn how it stuck to the fur and his clothes.
The original DOME was discovered in nature as a CAVE. The cave people realized it was strong and protected them from critters and other cave people!
ART is a wonderful metaphor universe and ALUX encourages all of us Aluxers to visit museums and galleries regularly.
Of course we all know the use of the LIGHT BULB as a metaphor for having an AHA go off!
Actually Donald encourages all CREATIVES to get an actual Edison Light Bulb and have it without a shade either on your desk or hanging as one or several from the ceiling. You might have seen them in threes hanging over a kitchen island.
He also suggest getting a poster, painting, or drawing of the cartoon light bulb for your creative space!
